National Community Planning Month
Theme of the Year
October is National Community Planning Month, APA’s annual observance celebrating the achievements of planning in the United States. This year’s theme – housing as community infrastructure – highlights the importance of housing as a part of our social and built environment, and underscores the critical role planning plays in delivering the housing that communities and the nation needs.
APA has many tools available to planners to spotlight ways in which planning helps to break down barriers to housing challenges in their communities.
