AICP Diversity Scholarship

AICP awards Diversity Scholarships to help make the planning profession more diverse and accessible. Previously, each chapter had at least one scholarship allotted with larger chapters having more. Our goal is to increase the number of scholarships awarded, thereby increasing diversity among AICP members.

Applications will be accepted anytime through September 11, 2022 for the November 2022 testing window. Applicants selected to receive the reimbursements will be notified within one week of application submission. Scholarships for the spring 2023 window will be due in March 2023.

Scholarship Details:

  • The regular fee to take the AICP exam is $255. The regular fee to submit the assessment is $255. Scholarship recipients will pay $85 for each of those steps.
  • For the fall cycle, all scholarship recipient forms need to be sent to (apanebraska@gmail.com) by September 11 which ensures that all recipients are entered into the system prior to registration opening in October. This avoids members registering and paying, and then needing a refund.
  • As in the past, the scholarships are applied for both the exam and the assessment. If the member does not pass the exam, the scholarship will still be usable for future exams. Likewise, if the member’s assessment does not meet requirements, the scholarship will still be useable for future assessments.

To be considered, fill out the form below and send it to apanebraska@gmail.com prior to the September 11th, 2022 deadline.
